University of New Haven International Scholarships in USA 2021

The University of New Haven in the United States welcomes applications for the University of New Haven International Scholarships in the 2021/22 academic year.

The University of New Haven, established on the Yale campus back in 1920, is a private, coeducational institution of higher education that has been acknowledged by The Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report for academic excellence. Situated between New York City and Boston in the coastline city of West Haven, the University is a diverse and animated community of 6,800 scholars from all over the globe.

Presidential Scholarship – University of New Haven International Scholarships

($20,000 – $24,000 each academic year)

A candidate who has attained academic success in secondary school and on the SAT or ACT is given consideration for this scholarship award. The Presidential Scholarship award varies based on the combination of the candidate’s SAT/ACT score and aggregate GPA. Awards range from $20,000 – $24,000 per academic year.

The Presidential Scholarship is assured for your first year and renewable every year on the condition that you remain a full-time undergraduate candidate while keeping satisfactory progress towards a bachelor’s degree program and a B (3.0) aggregate grade point average. It is renewable for up to a maximum of eight semesters and applied only to tuition.

Distinguished Scholar Awards – University of New Haven International Scholarships

($15,000 – $18,000 per academic year)

Students who have achieved academic success in high school but have not achieved the SAT or ACT requirements for the First-Year Presidential Scholarship are eligible for this award. The Distinguished Scholar Award varies depending on the student’s SAT or ACT score and GPA. The award ranges from $15,000 – $18,000.

The Distinguished Scholar Award is assured for your first year and renewable every year on the condition that you remain a full-time undergraduate candidate while keeping a required minimum GPA and acceptable progress towards a bachelor’s degree program. It is renewable for up to at most eight semesters and applicable only to tuition fees.

Charger Award – University of New Haven International Scholarships

($10,000 – $14,000 per academic year)

This scholarship award is granted to candidates who display strong and regular academic performance, but are not qualified for one of the other academic scholarship awards (Presidential and Distinguished Scholarships). This scholarship awards is granted by the Scholarship Committee of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

The Charger Award is assured for your first year and renewable every year on the condition that you remain a full-time undergraduate candidate while keeping a required minimum GPA and acceptable progress towards a bachelor’s degree program. It is renewable for up to at most eight semesters and applicable only to tuition.

Eligibility for University of New Haven International Scholarships

  • To be given consideration for one of the academic scholarship awards, all you need to do is submit an application for full-time undergraduate admission. If admitted, you will be automatically given consideration for an academic scholarship award.
  • Scholarship ward decisions will be on the basis of your academic credentials at the time of your admissions decision.
  • Candidates should have a finished application for admission on file by May 1 for the fall semester or January 1 for the spring semester in order to be considered for an academic scholarship.
  • Scholarship awards are dependent on the availability of funds.

How to Apply for University of New Haven International Scholarships

The awards are granted at the discretion of the University of New Haven and, unless otherwise specified, need no special application. Candidates who qualify for these scholarship awards will be informed by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the time of their admission to the University.

Application Deadline

Candidates are required to have a finished application for admission on file by May 1 for the fall semester or January 1 for the spring semester so as to be given consideration for an academic scholarship award.
