As you get older, your appearance begins to change. You get wrinkles, gravity begins to affect certain parts of your body, and dark spots appear on your skin. These spots are called age spots, or liver patches. It can appear on your face, on your legs, arms, shoulders and hands: anywhere on your body, really. Age spots are a form of hyperpigmentation.
This is a common disease in which excessive melanin production (a natural pigment within the skin) results in dark patches and uneven skin. The spots are not serious, although it is important to watch them. Consult your doctor when:
Some areas become darker than others
circle A dark circle appears around one (or more) of the spots
Keep they continue to grow or start to get a reddish color
Did you know that you can use a simple household product to combat these liver spots? You probably already got the ingredients in your store: onions and apple cider vinegar. It has been shown that onion juice helps reduce scarring. Then there is apple cider vinegar that helps to remove dead skin layers. With these two healing components you can easily restore your skin’s appearance! Mix onion with pulp. Place the pulp in a cotton cloth or sieve, and push the juice from it. Mix onion juice with apple cider vinegar and add to dark spots. Repeat this on a daily basis for a few weeks and you will notice that the sites will begin to dilute!
