Do you think you’re pregnant? These 8 signs could tell you

These signs of pregnancy are easy to recognize

Perhaps you can’t wait to be expecting a baby or maybe you would rather wait just a little bit longer to have one. In any case, it is good to know the signs of being pregnant. We know that being pregnant includes having a big round belly, but there are numerous ailments that could present themselves before you have that big belly. Did you know about these ones?

Find the signs to look out for below!

1. Headaches

If you’re drinking enough water during the day and if you’re not stressed or tired but you still have a headache, it could be a sign that you’re pregnant. When you’re pregnant, you can experience a lot of headaches. Naturally, having a headache does not necessarily mean that you’re pregnant straight away.

2. Sensitive breasts

Some women have very sensitive breasts when they’re having their period. When you are absolutely sure that you are not menstruating or will be soon, sensitive breasts can be a sign of pregnancy. Apart from the sensitivity, it is also possible that your breasts change. They could get bigger or the nipple can change colour for example.

3. Having to pee… a lot!

A frequent sign that you’re pregnant is that you need to go to the bathroom again and again. This is because, when you’re eight or more weeks pregnant, your uterus presses against your bladder. This causes you to pee a lot! Is this something that you are experiencing? Rule out a urinary infection first as this can also cause you to pee a lot.

4. Hungry all the time

Cravings, cravings, and more cravings. Did you just eat a whole bag of crisps even though you had a chocolate bar just before that? That’s okay, really. However, were you already feeling hungry again shortly after a big meal? Then you might be pregnant. Think back of the past few weeks and judge whether you really had a lot more cravings than usual. Maybe it is time to take a pregnancy test?

5. Mood swings

Crying followed by intense happiness followed by some more crying. Sound familiar? These severe mood swings seem like standard ‘women’s issues’, but they could actually be telling you that you are pregnant. Did you only cry when you were feeling really miserable before, but are you already crying at the sight of a cute puppy on television now? Then you might want to check whether you are pregnant or not.

6. Run-down

Are you just living your ‘normal’ life but are very tired all of a sudden? This could mean that you are pregnant. Being pregnant takes a lot of energy. That’s why feeling run-down is a common sign of pregnancy. Take a pregnancy test to make sure where your tiredness comes from.

7. Overdue

Oh no! You should have been on your period by now but it has not (yet) happened! This could point towards pregnancy, but it does not necessarily have to. There are many other reasons that could explain your late period. To make sure, you can always take a pregnancy test.

8. Nausea

One of the pregnancy ailments that you hear about most often is nausea. Do you have the feeling that the nausea occurs frequently and don’t you know what is causing it? Then it could well be that you are expecting!
